Easy commute to Arlington Va. I love living here It is also close to DC and it continues to develop". Safe and quiet. The extracurricular activities are numerous and varied. They have 'morning show' and opportunities to study with teachers during lunch time. Tons of intramural sports, a spring musical, and 'teacher of the year' directing band and orchestra. There are Promethean boards in every room.
Administrators are great listeners and quick to deal with any issues - and secretaries greet visitors with a welcoming smile. Best of all, everyone from Wood goes directly to Rockville - so these kids go to school together for 7 years a strong chance to build lifelong friendships.
Parent Review 6y ago. Rockville High School. I have 2 children here and both feel safe and are challenged academically. The school is small enough that administration knows the students and who needs extra attention. The terrible incident of last year had more to do with kids making bad decisions— and the school responded immediately and appropriately.
School spirit is strong-for many different activities-music and art programs are good and there are many student clubs. The IB program is great too. Parent Review 3y ago. There is an urban aspect to it and it is still very suburban. The proximity to Washington DC and Baltimore makes it almost equidistant to both cities.
