I would probably revisit this book again except there is a prosaic explanation for why I will likely delete it from my library after I finish.
My God!! You are a writer!! Learn another way or ways to convey that thought!!! I'm gonna try to tough it out and finish but I get furious with disbelief when it's used and used and used and Any additional comments? This was a very interesting and educational book. I'm very interested in the possibility of aliens visiting Earth so I really enjoyed it. The narrator did a great job of telling it however her voice and her need to put such great emphasis on certain syllables couldn't be more annoying.
I almost couldn't wait for the story to end just so I didn't need to listen to her voice any longer. If you're into aliens and alien abduction get the book. You'll be glad you did.
What would have made The Alien Abduction Files better? Almost everything was wrong about the book, it was a total failure. Has The Alien Abduction Files turned you off from other books in this genre? How could the performance have been better? The reader was way too dry ,boring and mechanical. What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment? The "story" is suppose to be about people being abducted by aliens, but it turns very quickly to a long, slow, very drawn out description of every conceivable little tiny detail possible about the people , history, great grand mother and great grandfather, brother sisters ,then their character, descriptions, then the houses, the neighbors , the weather ,the dog next ; and the way the curtains in a parlor looked twenty years ago.
The author obviously is filling space and has nothing to say about the subject but long drawn out descriptions of inconsequential things over and over and over again. A waste of time. It is important to learn from others experiences. This book does methodically and consistently shows the reader through the the alien abduction cases studied here what to look for when a person goes through such a frightening experience.
It is generous in detail, and description of who, what, where, how, and when, as well as before, and after effects in each of the alien abduction cases examined. I would highly recommend reading this book. It will give more clarity and understanding to those that never had an alien abduction experience as well as those that are new to the experience. This one is up there with the best of them. Highly recommended. For those of us that have spoken to many witnesses, this helps bring an overall view of the phenomena.
The content of the cases in the book agrees with many of my own investigations. This is a great book at first I thought darn I should of got a different book and just then it gets good after Chapter2. This is a must listen. Shocking and good. Never a full moment. Everything is backed by carefully researched facts. This book couldn't have had an editor as everything substantive that happens could've been covered in 5 pages - 10 tops.
So instead of documenting various details from hundreds of cases, we get just 2. And boy are they uninteresting. I couldn't take it anymore and stopped listening after pgs. Worst book I've ever encountered, period. This book is a collection of thoughts that one person, the author, has decided that she is an expert at gleaning the truth behind all that can be called "supernatural".
She is definitely out of her depth. I couldn't finish this book. Even if you've already done it. Absolutely fantastic book based on true facts and actual things that happened to real people, really opening eyes and disclosing things which are kept under the rugs however is a real problem affecting people and their life's as well as providing them with unbelievable knowledge. Therefore I am giving highest rating to this book, narrator was superb too!!! Absolutely recommend to read it!!
Well read, well written, concise and informative. I liked it but the word prosaic is used so much it gets annoying. Very little actual substance. An interesting listen. Having read a number of Delores Cannon books, this book reconfirms that aliens are within our environment and for reasons best known to our leaders, governments are still in denial. Like the way it try's to find medical explanation for the experiences people have, but you have to ask the question, how does the time lapse happen.
